F.A.Q.: How do
I get my music files from CD onto the player?
Unless you already have a solution
(like a "PRO" version of WinAMP player,
classical "CDripper" software, etc...) for
this not-too-complicated operation, iceTECH you have
a choice of these options:
Option 1.
CD that came with the player has a version of "CDex"
software on it. CDex can extract the data directly
(digital) from an Audio CD, which is generally called
a CD Ripper or a CDDA utility. The resulting audio
file can be a plain WAV file (useful for making compilation
audio CDs) or the ripped audio data can be compressed
using an audio encoder. Many encoders are supported,
to name a few:
- Lame MP3 encoder
- Internal MP2 encoder
- APE lossles audio format
- Ogg Vorbis encoder
- The Windows MP3 encoder (Fraunhofer MP3 encoder)
- NTT VQF encoder
- FAAC encoder
- Windows WMA8 encoder
In addition, CDex can convert WAV files on the hard
drive of your PC to a Compressed Audio File format
(and visa versa). CDex also supports many audio file
tag formats like the ID3V1 and ID3V2 tags, which can
be automatically inserted as part of the ripping process.
This software is located on the bundled CD.

Option 2.
Your CD that came with the player has a demo version
of a powerful tool called “CD-Ripper”.
Although it is a demo software it will allow you to
convert song-by-song from your CD to a file in .mp3
format.
This software is located on the bundled CD in the
folder:
"imTOO CD-DVD tools"
Setup file is "CD-ripper.exe"
(double-click it to initiate setup process)

Option 3.
Free CD Ripper from FOCUS-Soft.
It is a powerful, professional software which can
extract Digital Audio tracks from an Audio CD into
sound files on your hard disk.
You can save CD Audio tracks to CD-quality WAV files
or encode them to OGG Vorbis or MP3 compressed audio
format.
