Support and Troubleshooting:
What to do about “Cannot copy 'song-name'. The directory or file cannot be created” message?

This message usually appears when an error occured in a file system of the player:

To remedy it we recommend you using “MP3 Player Disc Tool”, which may be found in “Program Files” -> “MP3 Utilities” folder when you install “AMV(IMV) pack” from a bundled CD (or download it here).

- Connect your KEO player to your PC;
- Wait about 30 seconds until it will be recognized by your computer;
- Launch "MP3 Player Disc Tool”, which may be found in “Program Files” -> “MP3 Utilities”.

You will get the following window:

- (1) Make sure your KEO player removable drive is highlighted in it;
- (2) Select "Quick/Full/Low" formatting option. For majority of cases "Quick" would be enough;
- (3) This is an advanced option for experienced users only. Do not tick it unless you are planning to boot your PC from your player;
- (4) Click "Start" and wait till you get a successful completeion message;

After that - close the program and try to upload your songs to the player again. The issue should be resolved.

NOTE: all data on your player will be erased in the process of its’ disk formatting! Make sure to have a backup copy of all your files from the player if you want to keep them.

If it does not help and you keep getting “Disc Error” message even after re-formatting the player’s disc, please follow the instructions on “Firmware Upgrade” procedure.

If this procedure also fails to help – please fill in the RMA form and send it to us at: support@icetechusa.com

We will contact you regarding your product within 1-2 business days.
